BioThere is a string between us, now
And it pulls tight sometimes, when you mention her
Like fishing wire wrapped around my heart...nearly slicing it into (bite-size) bits
And your eyes dance like fireflies at night when she is close (as close as can be)
And dull again when she is gone.
There is still a string between us, though
And so I try and spark your eyes
Using my love as a flint
And sometimes they seem to warm, slightly
And others times it isnt her proximity making my heart ache
It’s the distance in your eyes.
